Sustainability Goals
We have implemented energy initiatives, including increasing green power procurement through group captive investments and completing rooftop solar panel installations by Q1 24-25. Plant-level energy-saving activities and LEAN initiatives are reducing specific energy consumption. Emission controls have been enhanced with devices on all DG sets >125KVA at TII plants in TN, and DG operations have been optimized. Water usage improvements involve enhancing ETP capacity, increasing treated effluent use, using RO water for cooling towers, and installing digital flow meters. Waste management advancements include introducing filter presses for sludge, co-processing waste with cement plants, and replacing wooden pallets with reusable ones, alongside waste reduction measures and monitoring.
